I couldn't buy this, so I made it.
In 2021 my brother was carrying his pen and his needles loose in his bag. I'm a development engineer, so I drew a case in CAD and 3D printed it. Then I asked 150 people with diabetes what they actually carry, that's where the four needle slots come from. One day's worth.
The pen cap stays inside the case, because it kept rolling on restaurant tables.
I tried to crowdfund the injection mould in 2022 and failed. So I paid for it myself and started with 300 cases. Then eleven months of samples going back and forth until the tolerances were right.
That's why this isn't a 9€ fabric pouch. It's a moulded hardshell, designed in Schleswig-Holstein, and 12,000 people are carrying one.

Does my pen fit?
Over 100 pens fit — including Mounjaro, Ozempic, NovoRapid, Lantus, FlexTouch and Wegovy. Of every pen checked on this page, 99.6% fit. Check yours at the top in a few seconds.
How many needles fit inside?
Four, held in a fixed ladder so nothing rattles around. That is one day worth — the number came from surveying 150 people with diabetes before the case was ever built.
Will it fit in a pocket or a handbag?
Yes. 18,2 x 4,8 x 3,2 cm, 105 g — roughly the size of a glasses case. It lies flat in a jacket pocket and will not snag in a bag.
What is it made of?
An injection-moulded ABS hardshell. Designed in northern Germany and built to be dropped, sat on, or thrown into a rucksack.
Does it keep my insulin cool?
No. The case does not cool and is not insulated — it protects and organises. If you need cooling, take a look at the DIAVY Fridge Pen Holder.
Does it fit safety needles?
Not yet. It currently fits standard pen needles. Safety needles are on our list — email us at hello@diavycase.com and we will let you know when that changes.
